Hi there! My name is Chin Yap. I am a master graduate under supervision of Dr. Looi Chung Yeng and Associate Professor Dr. Wong Won Fen. I joined the lab since March 2018. After graduating from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with a degree in Bachelor of Industrial Biotechnology, I worked as a research technologist/ biotechnologist in a pharmaceutical company for a Phase 3 clinical trial. My research interest is on Hedgehog pathway, cell cycle, Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal transition, and chemoresistance in gastric cancer. I have been awarded with postgraduate research scholarship from Taylor’s University. I graduated in October 2021 and joined Associate Professor Dr. Reena’s Immunotherapeutic Laboratory, UMMC as a research assistant. Currently I am working as an associate in a pharmaceutical company.
