Hi everyone! My name is Ting Fang, I am currently a PhD student under supervision of Associate Professor Dr Wong Won Fen at Department of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine. I have joined Lab 2 since February 2019. Prior to joining Lab 2, I have graduated from Universiti Malaysia Pahang with a degree in Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Honours) Industrial Biotechnology. I have also worked as a Quality Control Executive in a pharmaceutical company which launched a Phase 3 clinical trials by using immunotherapy approach to treat nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) patients. My research interest is on B cells and plasma cells in blood cancer research. In Year 2019, I was selected as one of the grant recipients of Science and Technology Research Grant funded by Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) and in Year 2020 to Year 2022, I have been awarded with Faculty of Medicine Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme (FOMPSS) under Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. Currently I am working on the later part of my PhD research project and hopefully to finish the laboratory work soon.
